Corky’s BBQ has earned its world-famous reputation with mouthwatering ribs, classic barbecue, and a charm that’s pure Memphis. With multiple locations across the Southeast, a thriving shipping operation, and a consistent spot on QVC, Corky’s had built a devoted fanbase. But their website, a longtime workhorse, was starting to show its age. They needed an updated online presence to match their iconic brand and drive both online sales and foot traffic to their restaurants.
The challenge was twofold: create a modern eCommerce site that could handle their robust shipping operation while also reflecting the character and authenticity of Corky’s barbecue legacy. It had to appeal equally to tech-savvy customers ordering from their phones and loyal diners looking for their nearest Corky’s fix.
For the redesign, I wanted to capture the essence of Corky’s Memphis roots. The visual language leans into smoky, charred wood textures, bold typography, and a warm, rustic color palette. To tie it all together, we introduced the “Pig and Crown” emblem—a playful yet regal nod to Corky’s barbecue royalty.
The new website is designed with mobile users in mind, ensuring it looks and functions beautifully on any device. A restaurant locator feature makes it easy for diners to find their nearest location, complete with driving directions, menus, and options for ordering carryout or delivery.
The menu itself is designed for clarity and temptation, with toggle categories for easy navigation and tantalizing food photos sprinkled throughout. On the eCommerce side, streamlined shopping and an enhanced checkout process make it effortless for fans to order their favorite barbecue for delivery.
This project was about more than just a website—it was about celebrating Corky’s legacy while equipping them for the future. Seeing the brand come to life online with the same warmth and flavor they bring to the table was a rewarding experience. I designed this website and elements package in 2022 while I was Co-Founder of LAB Digital Creative, before beginning an independent design practice in early 2025.
